Goodbye is the hardest thing to say although its harder when no one seems to notice

Yesterday I made a decision to leave the MCR facebook page well our temporary page, i stated that i might not return but did anyone actually take notice? No, maybe i just didnt say it loud enough, I dont even actually understand my decision to be honest, at the moment my mind is all over the place and i just cant stand to be there hell i cant even stand to go onto the original page, i just wish i could understand my own feelings it’s just like when i left one of my favorite websites it was one of the hardest things to do but was probably best for the page, but still at least the guys on the website actually noticed when i said i’m leaving but on the temp MCR facebook page no one noticed ><

Chapter one The day that started it all

It was just like every other day, I'd be fighting Dracs, trying to find a decent meal and some place to bunker down to listen to Dr D's transmissions, or for a transmission of a fellow killjoy in need.After what seemed like hours of running I finally found a cave to hideout in for a little while, 'damn I wish I had a car' I thought as I ran into the cave, Ray gun in hand and mask firmly strapped on, at least there was one thing my fellow killjoys, My brothers and sister could be proud of a had a sense of when to keep my mask on and ray gun at my side, my name is Angel Darkstorm and I spend my days keeping zone six free of Dracs, although at the moment I have been having a bit of trouble but I intended on solving that problem as soon as I could but in the mean time I will just have to keep myself safe.

'it's almost time' I thought as I flicked my radio on making sure it wasn't up to loud as I didn't want the Dracs to find me at least not yet.I sat patiently and that all too familiar voice made its way from the radio it was Dr Death defying.

And then the music started softly and quietly I sang along

Drugs! Gimme drugs. Gimme drugs. I don't need it, but I'll sell what you got, take the cash and I'll keep it. Eight legs to the wall, hit the gas, kill them all. and we crawl! and we crawl! and we crawl! You Be My Detonator!

Smiling to myself as the song ended I went to remove my mask as I had an itch on my nose, however as I was about to lift it I hear a twig snap outside the cave quickly and with trembling hands I switched my radio of and slowly walked to the front of the cave ray gun in my hand ready to kill any Dracs it was then that I saw it the massive fight going on outside the cave I couldn't believe it there were Dracs everywhere and the famous and fabulous killjoys the very first, the ones that started this whole rebellion were fighting them, I felt so useless I wanted to help but I was stuck frozen unable to move I just stood there at the front of the cave my whole body shaking I couldn't even hold my ray gun straight.

About an hour later everything calmed down all the Dracs had been defeated and the fabulous killjoys were gone as well I remained standing still for a few moments before I realized by staying at the cave I was putting myself in danger there would be bound to be more Dracs storming the area soon. Grabbing my radio I raced out of the cave following the tire tracks I saw in the dirt hoping that it might lead me to them, however after running for what felt like hours I saw a site no one would ever want to see I saw my idols the fabulous killjoys sprawled on the ground. A small gasp escaped my lips as I moved closer 'please don't let them be…' I started to think but I couldn't even finish the thought. Silently I walked towards fun ghoul gently placing two fingers against his neck but before I had a chance to tell it he had a pulse his Eyes flicked open as his hand grabbed my arm with his other hand reaching for his ray gun, "I…" I stumbled unable to form any words I was scared of what might happen next "a…am I… are you an angel" were the words that came from his lips which calmed me glad that he didn't seem to want to kill me I looked him in the eyes "not quite" I replied but whether or not I was an angel was not important right now I needed to find out what happened.

Stepping back a bit I allowed fun ghoul some space to get up at which point I knew what I needed to do, stepping across to Jett Star I gently tapped on his helmet instantly he lifted his visor and said almost exactly the same as fun ghoul "are you an angel" this made me chuckle softly "Angel Darkstorm at your service" was all I said before walking over to kobra kid and tapping his helmet as well causing him to jolt upright giving me an awful fright as I stumbled backwards kobra looked at his brothers jet star and fun ghoul before looking back at me, I silently glanced at party poison there was no way I was going to be the one to bring him out of unconsciousness I knew if he freaked out he very well could kill me, luckily kobra took the job of awaking his brother.

"Poison wake up" said kobra kid placing his hand on party poisons shoulder causing him to jolt upright wincing in pain as he did so, I stood so silent I was not surprised he didn't see me. "They took her they fucking took her" he screamed causing us all to have to block our ears. "I know man I know" said kobra trying to calm his brother."We have to save here" muttered party poison."I know but we need a plan" replied Jet star getting up and walking over to them"I have one we go to battery city storm their headquarters and get her back" replied Party Poison "either your with me or you're not but I'm going to save her" he added seeing his brothers expressions."We're with you man" said the other three in unison

I was speechless it was as if they had all forgotten I was there and hearing them talk of going on this… this suicide mission it scared me, it was at the point party poison looked over at me it was like he was staring straight past my mask and into my soul silently I pulled my mask off  and he stood up and walked over to me staring straight into my bright blue eyes "and you are" he said his voice flowing straight through me "going with you, you cannot go on such a suicidal mission not alone" I replied my voice trembling "no you are not" he replied before turning away from me picking his mask and gun up off the ground, I stood still trembling but it wasn't fear for me it was fear for them Fun Ghoul silently walked over to me "he's right angel you can't go with us I and I'm sure he dose to know you are strong in your own way and you want to help us with this but you'd be helping us more by just staying alive" and with that he walked towards their trams am with the others and before I could do anything else they were gone.

I was not about to let this happen I would somehow find my way to battery city to help them but my first job was to find a car or some other fast form of transport, putting my mask back on and holding my ray gun firmly I set out with my mind set firmly on finding some way to get into battery city silently I turned my radio back on hopping that maybe Dr D might be transmitting something to calm my nerves with her radio strapped safely to my side I ran as fast as I could.

Chapter TwoThe end is just the beginning

As I ran a song started to play on my radio it made me start to think of them and wonder what it was about this girl the Dracs took that could cause them to want to go on such a … "stop thinking like that Angel they're not going to die" I muttered as I ran the music still filling my ears and the air around me.

I stopped suddenly, out of the corner of my eye I could see a car speeding up behind me I started to panic thinking it might have been a Drac quickly I ran off the road and behind a tree, as the car stopped I noticed it wasn't a Drac but appeared to be another killjoy, this was my chance they could help me, help me to get to battery city, help me to be the one to save the lives of my idols.

As the car stopped and the killjoy got out I stepped out from the tree "I thought I heard something" was all the killjoy said as they lifted their mask and suddenly I felt my worries disappear as I stared into his eyes I couldn't say anything I was mesmerised "Angel what's wrong" was all he said seeing the blank look in my eyes it brought me back to reality "I… I need to get to battery city right now" I literally shouted tears suddenly forming in my eyes. Seeing the fear in my eyes he pulled me close "danger knight I…it's the fabulous killjoys they've gone to storm Better living headquarters … even though they know it's a suicide mission … I… I have to help them" I sobbed I was totally devastated at the thought of my idols dying.

He looked me in the eyes straight past my mask before pulling his mask back up knowing that if he said he wouldn't take me I'd just find some other way of getting there and possibly get myself killed in the process he reluctantly agreed and opened the door of his car for me.A few moments later we were heading for battery city "can't you drive any faster" I growled as with every second I knew my heroes my idols were closer to losing their lives "stop thinking like that angel" I muttered Danger Knight didn't say anything he just pressed his foot down on the accelerator a bit more and with a roar of the engine the car sped up, within a few short hours we'd reached the outskirts of battery city I could see the light of the sun starting to rise Danger looked at me for a short moment before turning into the city weaving through all the side streets before stopping just short of the better living headquarters. My heart almost stopped as I heard the sounds of ray guns firing and my idols… my idols they were losing there standing on the side of the street was a young girl crying as Fun Ghoul laid dead on the bonnet of the fabulous killjoys trans am. I could feel all the blood draining from my face I was too late.

I couldn't believe what I was seeing, out of the corner of my eye I saw a van pull up and there was Dr death defying reaching out for the girl and as he pulled her into the van they sped off, I could feel the tears on my cheeks as I saw Korse standing next to an open body bag, as I saw the face of party poison I reefed the handle of the door wanting to get out and shoot Korse with my ray gun "Angel don't we have to go we can't help them anymore" said Danger I knew he was right so I let go off the handle and he did a quick u turn getting out of the city as fast as possible. As we reached zone one Danger Knight pulled the car over before pulling me close "we have to get as many killjoys as we can if we're going to avenge them but remember it will be dangerous" I didn't respond I just buried my head in his shoulder sobbing.

Chapter ThreeRallying the killjoys

A bright light suddenly flowed to my eyes and they flicked open, did I dream it, am I going to go out in the zones and see them again still fighting for the greater good, these were the thoughts that filled my head as I sat up 'strange I don't remember having a comfortable bed like this since my parents were still alive' I thought realizing I was on a bed. "angel thank god your ok you passed out in the car I thought you might have been injured" came a voice from the corner I looked over Danger knight 'oh no it really did happen' I thought suddenly feeling tears swell up in my eyes again Danger walked over to me and put his arm around my should "its ok to cry" was all he said as I buried my face in his shoulder then suddenly I realised something my mask it was missing, I pulled away from him whipping my eyes as I did "where's my mask" I asked. "earlier when you were crying your tears kind of made it all soggy and it fell to bits, Dr Death deifying tried his best to fix it for you but he couldn't however we got you a new one" replied Danger. I simply just looked down at the bed it took me a few moments to realise what he had just said, one my mask is gone the mask that my parents gave me two Dr death defying' here but I still didn't say anything I was still in shock.

Silently I looked up and saw the young girl from before she looked at me before running over and giving me a huge hug I could see she had tears in her eyes too she didn't say anything to me she just hugged I felt sad for her, remembering how party poison reacted when I found them I knew she must have been important for them to die for her. I wished I could have gotten there sooner then maybe they would still have been here, 'but at what cost, would you have given your life to save them' was the one thought that replayed in my mind. A few moments later she let go of me and ran out of the room 'oh no I didn't scare her did I" I thought before looking down a few moments later I noticed the girl come back into the room followed by a man in a wheelchair it was then I recognised him as Dr Death Deifying he appeared to be carrying what looked a lot like party poisons mask except it was in my colours black and red "good to see your awake I figured you might need a new mask" was all he said as he came closer and I felt my heart skip a beat as he added "you know there was a reason they left you behind" I gasped slightly although I also started to cough chocking on my tears "they knew they weren't going to come out of this alive and when they saw you they could tell that you would be the one to get all the killjoys together, to them you truly were an angel" he said handing me the mask. I found myself unable to talk as I took the mask holding it close "I'll put the call out and see how many of us we can gather" he added before leaving the room.I just remained silently looking at the mask I knew there had to be a reason he gave her a mask that looked almost exact the same as party poisons was he trying to tell me something was there another meaning behind the fabulous killjoys reasoning to not letting me go with then, was there a reason, I just couldn't stop thinking, I forgot everything around me, everything except the mask, I didn't even breath until Danger knight turned to me seeing me starting to go slightly blue in the face "Oi angel breath" he said suddenly "I…I'm fine" I replied however it was obvious I wasn't "I need some air" I said as I stood up "ok I'll come outside with you, and you should put your mask on the Dracs have been hanging around this area lots" he replied "no I just want to be alone" I replied and before he could say  anything I grabbed my ray gun and walked out of the room and outside.I could hear Dr Death defying inside talking into his microphone transmitting a message to all the other kill joys asking wait no he was begging for their help, I suddenly felt as if the whole world was on my shoulders I stared at my new mask had meeting the fabulous killjoys when I did been destiny had it sealed my fate and the fate of all the killjoys who will be coming to help. This was bad I was losing my nerve I dropped the new mask on the ground and ran, I ran as fast as I could I knew danger would be about to come out to check on me but I didn't want him to, to see me like this so I kept on running.After a short while I stopped I could hear something behind me I quickly ducked behind a tree this time I wasn't going to show myself even if it was just Danger Knight which it was he pulled up a worried expression on his face I felt bad cos I could tell he was scared, scared for my safety but I just couldn't do it I couldn't go back with him at least not yet, holding my gun closely I remained out of sight and he got back in his car and took off silently I slid down the tree sitting on the ground tears falling from my eyes again I didn't even notice someone coming towards me until I heard their voice "I've found her" this was when I snapped out of it, it was the one who was with Dr death deifying at better living industries he was wearing purple and white spotted tights with his underwear on the outside a shirt that said noise and a helmet and within moments Danger Knight pulled up racing over to me "could you give us a moment alone please show pony tell Dr D we found her and I'll bring her back in a short while" he said to the strange looking guy who nodded before skating off.Sitting next to me with my mask, 'no its not my mask it has no significance sure it's a red and black replica of party poisons mask but it is not mine' I thought as Danger Knight gently put it on my face 'no I'm not wearing this I don't want it' I thought wanting to rip it off but I didn't want to offend my friend "I… I'm sorry for running I… I just can't do it I can't put anymore killjoys in danger I…I'll find some other way to avenge them" I muttered "Angel its not just about what happened to them now there are bigger things going on, even though they only met you towards the end, as they were heading into the city the sent Dr D a transmission and they told him some things they believed in you they believed where they failed you will be able to pick up" he said as he placed his hand against my cheek "you should know Dr D already has some killjoys gathered back at his lair their all waiting for you". Hearing this sent shivers down my spine there was no way I could turn back now "Angel you should know that I will be right beside you all the way even with the stuff that happened between us in the past I still love you and you are the only hope for me"  he said and before I knew what was happening he gently kissed me and that was it I lost every thought my mind just went blank up until realizing that I was in his car and we were speeding down the road "you know you shouldn't zone out like that it could be dangerous" he said staring out the corner of his eyes at me. "right" I mumbled as we pulled up in front of Dr D's lair my heart started to pound as I saw a car and two bikes parked out the front silently Danger led me inside "thank goodness" came a small voice as the girl from before raced into the front room to meet us followed by Dr D and four killjoys.

Chapter fourI can't do this any more

I sat in silence while the other killjoys discussed battle plans, I was again doubting myself there were only six of us compared to hundreds of them , I couldn't lead my fellow killjoys into an out numbered fight, if I did I would be no better then … I stopped my thoughts at that point I wasn't about to blame the fabulous killjoys for how I was feeling I just wished I could work out why they had told Dr D whatever it was they did about that made everyone think I was going to be the one to end it all.

"Oi Angel what do you think about this" came a voice pulling me out of my thoughts it was one of the other killjoys with purple and pink hair who I seemed to recall was called Peroxide Princess "sorry I missed that I feel a bit off I think I might go lay down for a bit" was all I said as I simply stood up and walked back to the room I woke up in, I laid down but didn't fall asleep I held my mask in my still trembling hands. I closed my eyes however it didn't ease my feelings any I could still see the site that hurt me so bad. "Angel are you awake" I heard Danger Knights voice I didn't reply I just kept my eyes closed thinking to myself 'I'll let them think I'm asleep then when they go to sleep I'll leave.'I heard danger knight leave I reopened my eyes, I could hear them talking in the next room, they were talking about me I didn't like the fact they were seeing me as some kind of saviour hell I couldn't even save my family there was no way I could protect them. I closed my eyes again however this time I wasn't pretending to sleep I really did fall asleep, but it was a restless sleep with all the images of the day from before filling my head.

About an hour or so after someone else came in to check on me, I knew this cos I was awake again what did that think I was going to do climb out the window. I heard them leave and the talking ended "she's still asleep" I hear a gruff voice say it was strange the voice sounded almost like party poisons but I knew it wasn't so I just reclosed my eyes I needed to leave these stupid feelings behind 'wait feelings that's my problem I need to get some of those meds ' I suddenly sat straight up not realizing the girl was sitting in the corner staring at me "are you ok" she asked walking over and sitting on the edge of the bed "if I said yes it would be a lie" I replied "you were talking in your sleep, your worried aren't you" she said looking at me"How can I not be" I replied before quickly faking a yawn "I'm still rather tired I think I might get a bit more sleep""oh ok I'll leave you then but please don't do anything stupid" she said before leaving the room 'wait a moment I didn't say anything about that in my sleep did I' I thought laying back down as the sunlight started to fade, I could hear all the other killjoys saying good night before taking off, I heard danger knight come back in the room I kept my eyes she I didn't want him to think I was awake, it was a few moments later I felt the warmth of his lips on the side of my face 'no don't you dare lay down beside me' I thought I knew he still loved me and I still loved him but not the same way but I knew I was lying to myself it was the same and that was why I couldn't risk his safety.

I could feel myself falling into a restless sleep again I knew I couldn't run away just yet it wasn't just knowing it would break his heart the fact he was now laying next to me with his arm held firmly around my waist I seemed to drift back into consciousness for a moment it was at that moment he whispered in my ears "I promise I will never let you go." It was then that I felt the tears slipping down my face again how could I keep denying my feelings for him when he is always there to keep me safe even when I ran he found me even though I idolised the fabulous killjoys and possibly even started crushing on them at one point but Danger was always my saviour.The night went on just like it used to back before the war and the pain that came with it, I felt safe in his arms and I wished I could stay there forever I didn't want the morning to come. I started finding myself restless again as I began to dream we were sleeping safely until we hear ray gun fire outside securing out masks we ran out of the room to make sure Dr d and the girl were safe then once we were sure with ray guns in hand we ran outside to see show pony and the other four killjoys fighting Dracs and they were losing Danger looked at me "save yourself I'll hold them off" he said forcing me back inside and shutting the door 'no you can't do this you can't' were the thoughts pouring through my mind as I went to open the door but I was stopped by Dr D's voice "they'll be fine" I didn't believe him and I wasn't going to let this happen quickly I opened the door but the fight was over the Dracs had been defeated, the other killjoys were injured but then I saw it a site that made me cry Danger my love lying on the ground "w…we're sorry Angel we couldn't save him" Peroxide Princess said placing her hand on my shoulder as they all came inside. It was then that I jolted awake accidentally knocking Danger out of bed in the process "Angel are you ok" he asked getting back up but I couldn't answer I was frozen in fear 'it was just a dream' I thought over and over again "angel talk to me please" said Danger a strong sense of urgency in his voice it was almost as if he was worried but I couldn't speak it was then that he sat beside me taking my face in his hands like he used to always do. "Angel please don't do this now we need you" he said his strong voice melting though my ears and I relaxed my eyes no longer wide, all my fear seemed to fade away "I…I had a bad dream" was all I said looking down I could see the sunlight starting to seep in through the window I had lost my chance to run at least for now but as soon as he turns his back even though I know it'll break his heart I would cos I couldn't let my dream become a reality  I wouldn't let him die for me.

Chapter fiveNo more running"the others will be here soon we should see it Dr D and missile kid are awake" I heard Danger say but I didn't reply I just shrugged, he looked at me his dark brown eyes literally staring right though me the look in his eyes made me know exactly what he was thinking . "angel please don't try running way again we really do need you, you have so much potential even if you don't see it" he said I didn't say anything I just kept thinking 'why can't he see it from my point of view' he sighed "I'll be back in a moment don't go anywhere", "like I have a choice" I spat unintentionally 'oh no I didn't just say that' I thought as he left. Silently I walked over to the window and attempted to push it open it took me a bit but I managed to open it, I quickly put my mask on grabbed my gun and Dangers keys off the table silently I climbed out the window as I got outside I heard someone enter the room quickly I got into the car and started it up, I knew Danger would realize what was going on a pushed my foot on the accelerator and took off I could see danger in the rear view mirror but I kept going I wasn't turning back now.I continued driving I just had to get my hands on something to make me feel better take away all this pain I quickly got through the zones it seemed strange there were no Dracs around until I got to the tunnel to battery city as I got halfway through the tunnel I spotted the Dracs I pushed the accelerator a bit harder and drove straight through them and continued into the city.  Suddenly I slammed the breaks on I shouldn't be falling apart like this I'm meant to be strong I'm meant to be someone that can be relied on why and I fucking running away all the time. Getting a hold of and taking those meds wouldn't take the pain away well not in the right way anyway, quickly I turned the car around I had to get back to him, I had to apologise and tell him I won't run anymore, I pushed the accelerator as far as I could and drove as fast as possible.

After what seemed like hours I finally reached it Dr D's lair but there was no one there, I was terrified had something happened while I was gone. I parked the car and walked towards the door and opened it there wasn't even a sing shred of life but it was strange I couldn't see any signs of a fight 'maybe they've just gone out to try and find me yeah that's what's going on' I thought going back outside silently I sat in the car keys still in the ignition it was then that I saw a Drac behind a tree quickly I jumped out of the car and fired my ray gun at him then I quickly got back in the car and tried to start it but it wouldn't start. 'no this can't happen to me not now' I thought as more Dracs started to appear luckily the other four killjoys got there at the same time together we quickly got rid of the Dracs.

One of the killjoys looked at me a girl who recalled had the name chemical batman "we're sorry angel but they took them all while you were gone, but I promise we're ready and we'll be by your side the whole way." The words burned through my mind in my own selfishness they took the ones I was meant to protect that was it I swore right then I would not run but save them. "we'll train a bit then storm Better Living headquarters tonight" I replied they all nodded in agreement then Napalm Erotica responded with "I think we should go somewhere else though the Dracs know we're here now" I nodded before adding "I think we should take dangers car" and they all agreed before getting into the car once in the driver's seat I started the car and we took off as I drove I found myself thinking of the lyrics to one of my favourite songs 'Well now this could be last of all the rides we take, So hold on tight and don't look back ,we don't care about the message or the rules they make,I'll find you when the sun goes black.

A few short hours later I turned off the main track coming to an old shooting range we all got out "good place Angel" said Chemical Batman looking around "thanks I used to come here all the time before my parents died" I replied before walking over to one of the targets and taping a picture I found of Korse "your going to pay for this" I muttered before stepping back we all lined up and began our target practice. After a short while I stopped my eyes filling with tears if I didn't run off when I did I could have stopped them I dropped my gun unable to hold it anymore the other killjoys could see what was happening and came over Peroxide Princess gently put her hand on my shoulder "we'll get them back" was all she said before picking my gun back up and handing it to me.

Chapter SixPrepared and ready

With the support of the four killjoys with me I continued to prepare for the battle of my life, a short while later we stopped as we all heard the sound of a car coming up the small drive towards where we were 'crap they've found us' I thought spinning around my gun pointing directly at the car coming towards us, the car quickly stopped and the driver got out I kept my gun held tight as did the four killjoys next to me.

The driver walked towards up her gun still sitting firmly in its holster I didn't sense that she was a threat but I knew my feelings couldn't exactly be trusted so I kept my gun aimed "we heard your planning on storming better living industries and were wondering if you had room for four more" this made a small smile form on my face as I put my gun down "there's always room for more" I replied  before adding "sorry for aiming my gun at you I was afraid you were Dracs."

"It's cool so when are you guys planning to do this" she asked while gesturing for the other three to get out of the car. "We're planning on doing it tonight" I replied my gun held tightly in my hand beside me and the other four stood behind me their guns held at their sides as well. "Ok well we're with you we just need to know your plan of attack" she replied "We haven't really worked the plan out just yet" I replied I felt bad when I said that here I was ready to lead all these killjoys into battle and I had no plan."Well we'll have to work one out then but first of all I think intros are in order" she replied "I'm Sugar Cyanide and this is Agent Narc Transmission After  and Voidstar Avenger""I'm Angel Darkstorm and this is marshy marauder, Chemical Batman, Napalm Erotica and Peroxide Princess" I replied gesturing to the killjoys behind me they all just nodded keeping their guns tight in their hands "good to meet you all" Sugar Cyanide replied stepping closer to us "now as for the plan I think personally we should go in groups through each entrance" Sugar Cyanide suggested "that's actually quite a good idea" replied Napalm looking at me waiting for my approval I didn't reply for a moment I was thinking it was a few moments before I noticed they were all yelling at me as though trying to yank me out of a daze."Oh I'm sorry yea sounds good" I replied softly"You sure you're up for this Angel we can get them back if you want to stay here" Peroxide Princess said looking at me"I'm fine" I replied although it was obvious I wasn't by the fact I couldn't even hold my ray gun steady but that didn't matter cos I wasn't really planning on needing it, infract I wasn't sure if I was even going to get out of there after the attack I just had to make sure everyone else got out."as long as your sure" they all replied at once  I nodded before turning around to face one of the targets and shot at it all my fear gone I had a dead accurate shot. "Ok well let's get some practice and get to know each other's strengths and weaknesses" Sugar Cyanide replied I nodded and we all got to work.

A few hours later we were prepared and ready to go "ok if any of you want to back out now's the time" I said as I strapped my gun in its holster and pulled my mask on.

Chapter Seven The Final StandWe separated into two groups well really it was the two we already were in and we headed off to battery city in silence all thinking of what we were about to do and thinking of the fact most of us probably won't make it out alive, no one spoke a word as we drove I just kept thinking 'gotta save them gotta save them.'

It took us about an hour of driving before we reached the tunnel we knew there would be Dracs patrolling it but we didn't care we just kept driving ignoring all the BL/ind icons and such. Halfway through the tunnel we found the Dracs at a gate closing my eyes momentarily I pressed the accelerator as hard as I could and in a matter of seconds I ran down the Dracs with Sugar Cyanide and her killjoy's right behind us. 'just a bit further' I thought as we weaved through the side streets and stopping just short of the headquarters "all right killjoys this could be the last of all the rides we take So hold on tight and don't look back" I said as we got out of the two cars the others all nodded in agreement and we went in our separate directions me marshy marauder, Chemical Batman, Napalm Erotica and Peroxide Princess went around the front entrance while the others took the back I pulled my gun out as did the others and we headed for the entrance.

We got into the building without yet meeting any Dracs "ok guys stick together" I said as we walked further into the building it seemed quiet almost too quiet then suddenly out of nowhere ray gun fire filled the corridor quickly we formed a circle and fire our guns aiming at all the Dracs near us everyone was putting up such a fight that we took them down without a single injury. We quickly continued heading towards where we had worked out Korse would be and Danger Knight, Missile Kid and Dr DD might also have been.

As we walked I silently hopped the others were ok we agreed to keep radio communication to a minimum so we could avoid as many Dracs as possible, after a short while of walking we came to am elevator silently we stood our guns still held tightly ready for any surprises as I hit the down button as hard as I could. It took a few moments for the Elevator to reach them and as soon as it opened the all piled in and I hit one of the buttons hopping we weren't too late, as the elevator descended a crackly transmission came through the radio "A...ngel …korse … us… too…strong… get… away…too… late" as the transmission cut out everyone looked at me "sugar come in can you hear us" I called into my radio but there was nothing but silence had they been caught was all I could think.

The elevator seemed to descend slower then before the transmission but maybe it was because we were all terrified of what the outcome of this could be, a few moments later the lift reached the basement and we all silently walked out our guns held ready. We were all scared For Sugar Cyanide and her team and also for our own safety we didn't know if we were going to come out of this alive, and we knew there was quite a chance that some of us wouldn't. after walking through a short corridor we reached a glass door and we walked through it to find Danger Knight, Missile Kid and Dr DD tied up in one corner and Sugar Cyanide and her team tied up in the other corner they were all gagged but I could see the fear in their eyes, we had just walked into a trap.

"well well well so this is the killjoys last hope" came Korse's voice as I suddenly found his gun up against my throat out of fear I froze letting my gun fall to the ground I could feel my insides trembling although I was frozen on the outside I became totally unaware of the rest of the killjoys who stood silently still not daring to make a move. "hmm I see your speechless at being in my presence" Korse mused  I closed my eyes for a moment managing to unfreeze myself I muttered just loud enough for the others to hear  "save them I'll be fine" Korse looked at me "you would sacrifice yourself for them" I scoffed  "yes but I don't intend on having to just yet" and even though I knew his gun was at my neck and if I cause him to fire it I would die I knew the other killjoys were still frozen in fear but I couldn't let that distract me at the moment as I swung my right leg attempting to knock Korse down, I was successful but as her fell his gun fired and I tried to get out of the way but as the gun was already pointed at my throat I couldn't and I fell to the ground no more breath leaving my lips, the last thing I heard even though they were both gagged was Missile and Danger screaming my name.

Everyone's eyes filled with rage as they all witnessed my death "chemical untie sugar and her team, marshy untie Danger Missile and Dr DD, Napalm keep a look out for Dracs no doubt they know we're here, I'll take care of him" said Peroxide Princess taking control as she kicked Korse's gun out of his hand and pointed hers at him. Everyone nodded and did as they were told. "You think you can beat me by taking away my gun" said Korse as he stood up "they cannot stop all my minions""shut up" Peroxide yelled as she aimed her ray gun at him "its bad enough you killed my team but you just can't stop can you" she yelled Chemical Batman untied Sugar Cyanide ,Agent Narc ,Transmission After  and Voidstar Avenger meanwhile marshy marauder untied the others. "Peroxide do you mind if I take care of him" Danger Knight said his voice empty as his eyes shone with tears as he grabbed a ray gun off a nearby table his body shaking in anger and grief , as much as she wanted her revenge she knew she had to share however before she could say anything ray gun fire came from outside "crap agent Narc" she gasped "someone tie him up" she yelled her gun still held on Korse Sugar Cyanide grabbed the rope the was tied around her team and tied Korse up grabbing his gun "I'll keep an eye on him go help Agent Narc" said Dr DD the killjoys nodded and with their ray guns at the ready they ran out to help agent Narc.

"you thing being tied up is going to stop me" Korse growled "well one you can't move two you don't have your gun" replied Dr DD Korse didn't reply he just wriggled his arms around in an attempt to get out meanwhile out in the corridor the fight was still going on so far the killjoys were winning but little did they know there were more Dracs and the scarecrow unit on the way.

"guys we've got a problem here" said Sugar as the elevator opened and the scarecrow unit walked out firing their ray guns quickly we retaliated and managed to halve the numbers however before we could do anything else Peroxide princess was hit in the arm she winced struggling to hold her gun as she fired at the scarecrows however she couldn't continue to shoot straight and the scarecrow shot at her once more and she feel to the ground her eyes fluttering closed. After a while of shooting the Dracs and the scarecrows were defeated and the killjoys went to head back into the room however before they could reach the door the heard missile kid scream, Korse had gotten lose and was now holding the fire red and black ray gun the was mine at Dr DD's head "Korse drop the gun before I blow your brains out" said Danger Knight in a harsh hollow voice as her held his gun up "and you think I won't hesitate to blow his out" responded Korse "just do it already" said Dr DD in a gruff voice Danger hesitated for a moment and pulled the trigger and Korse fell to the ground his eyes still wide luckily he didn't get a chance to pull his trigger before hand , Danger Knight fell to his knees it was over Korse was dead but so was I Danger crawled over to my body and cradled me in his arms his tears falling onto my vacant face.

It had been almost a week since the day we stormed Better Living industries and won the war we lost some killjoys but at least the battle was over and we managed to retrieve the bodies of the fabulous killjoys party poison, kobra kid, jet star and fun ghoul. Danger had locked himself in his room from the day of the final battle to the day of the funeral he refused to eat or accept the fact that I was gone."Danger are you ready" came missiles voice as she walked into the room her face sullen and sad "as ready as I will ever be" he replied his voice still hollow and empty together the all drove to a spot in zone three where they decided would be the best place to bury the lost, me, Peroxide Princess, Party Poison, Kobra Kidd, Jet Star and Fun Ghoul, in silence the surviving killjoys along with Missile Kid and Dr DD dug six holes and gently placed us in them and once we were buried they planted a different tree over the graves to mark our lives and our loss.

Killing the romance

Ok so I'm used to dreaming of my friends or family members dieing but about four nights ago I had the first of two dreams in these dreams the lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist of MY Chemical Romance died. The first dream consisted of me giving Ray Toro the Guitarist a cup of poisoned hot chocolate, in short i killed him with poison it was confusing cos i dont know why my subconscious would do such a thing when i love all the band members of MCR. The second dream consisted of me and the lead Vocalist Gerard Way standing outside after their concert talking when suddenly a car drove past and shot at us Gerard pushed me out of he way but was fatally hit, I tried to save him using all the first aid knowledge i had which was quite a bit as i had only just done a first aid course sadly it wasn't enough and he died. now normally my mind does things in an order and it would have made sense for my dreams to follow the order of which i've always put the band members Gerard Way (vocalist) Mikey Way (bassist) Frank Iero (lead guitarist) Ray Toro (rhythm guitarist) but my mind decided to mix things up a bit by going in a backwards order and skipping Frank and Mikey.

Chapter one

The start of a new life

Danger Knight and the rest of the killjoys all agreed on the day of the funeral that even though they may go their separate ways they will meet up at the site where they buried us on the anniversary of our deaths every year although it has been years since they last did.  Somehow over the two weeks after that fateful night I became trapped in the land of the living even though I was a ghost I was forced to watch the pain everyone was going through, the sadness Danger Knight was suffering from not being able to just hold me anymore I wished I was able to communicate with him let him know I was still here but I couldn’t.

He looked so peaceful at the moment talking with Missile kid who had chosen to stay with him after Dr Death Defying mysteriously disappeared and although they didn’t know what happened I did. I was spending the day floating near my grave hopping to maybe see the gang come back together on the anniversary of our death this year but I didn’t hold my hopes too high it was then that I saw him. He stopped his wheelchair next to party poisons grave “I know you guys are still here and always will be unfortunately for me it’s time to go I trust you guys to watch over them all I have a feeling this new found peace isn’t going to last for long” he said his gruff voice sounding different to normal.

That was the last time I saw him after that day I spent a while watching over Danger and Missile wondering what Dr DD meant by the peace wasn’t going to last for long and he knew we weren’t gone did that mean Party Poison and the others were still here in ghost form as well but if they were how would I find them. The day went on and it was night Missile bid Danger goodnight before going to bed I went and watched her sleep for a bit she seemed really peaceful, I knew if I hadn’t of been such an idiot when I was alive I could have been there with her after a while I left her to go watch over Danger I would try to let him know I was here by lying next to him while he slept. It was a few hours later that danger went to his room I followed him but was startled when he slammed the door causing me to go through it, it was then that I saw his room was set up as what appeared to be a shrine, a shrine to me it made me feel sad that I could now see how hard it was for him to move on.

As Danger slept I laid beside him my ghostly arm sitting around his chest “I promise I will always be here” I said knowing he probably couldn’t hear me but I could hear him mumbling in his sleep it was as though he was calling for me.

I felt I was going to have to check on the others to see how they were coping but I didn’t want to leave danger and missile so I decided to stay with them a little while longer. It had now been two weeks since Dr DD disappeared and I took up residence at Danger and Missiles home, I watched them go about their lives not knowing I was there it had been just over five years since the fateful day that cost Me and Peroxide Princess our lives but resulted in the end of the war and the retrieval of the fabulous killjoys bodies, I had watched missile grow into a lovely teenager but even though she hid it I could tell she was still saddened from losing us just like Danger was.

Chapter Two

Finding out the sad truth

It’s been a few weeks since I started watching over Danger Knight and Missile Kid and I figured it was time for me to move on and find the others, so with one more look at the one I loved and missile kid I set of. I had no clue of which way to go no idea of where about the others were or even if they were all still around. After what seemed like hours of walking and floating, I guess that’s one good thing about being a ghost oh who am I kidding there’s nothing g good about being a ghost, I noticed an area which seemed to have been rebuilt since the end of the war I walked into the new neighbourhood hopping to maybe find one of the others here.

I was about to give up hope when out of the corner of my eye I spotted her Sugar Cyanide she didn’t seem all that much different from last time I saw her which was about three years ago the last time they all visited our graves in fact she almost seemed a bit happier, not that I hated the fact she had gotten over my death in fact I was happy for her I just felt sad that is was possible she was bottling it up. I walked over to her not expecting her to notice me being I was a ghost but as I got closer I got a big shock as she looked straight at me “I’ve been waiting for you” she said her voice sounding full of life. “you can see me” I stumbled “not exactly she replied a small smile flickering across her lips as I stood right in front of her “I can sense you and hear you” she added her eyes looked strange I held my ghostly hand up to her face “Sugar what happened to your eyes” I said  as she shivered at my touch “there’s still some Dracs in this world even though Korse is gone” she said the happiness suddenly fading from her voice “they ambushed us three years ago when we were all heading back to Danger Knights after visiting your graves and it didn’t turn out so well we weren’t prepared, we had all gotten used to life being normal again” she said her voice shuddering as she continued “everyone had managed to get away except it cost me my eye sight but with the loss of my sight I became able to sense you and the others as well.”

 I looked down so that was what Dr DD meant by the new found peace wouldn’t last then I noticed what she had said “did you just say the others you mean party poison, fun ghoul, Kobra kid, Jet star and Peroxide Princess are ghosts too” I asked “yes but they haven’t stuck around this one place like you have and that is why you must help me I need to find them” she replied

We spent a while talking about how to find them I sat silently for a little while almost forgetting the fact I was a ghost and I started to float off the chair. “Angel hows Danger and missile its been so long singce I’ve seen them” sugar cyanide said suddenly bringing me out of my thoughts “their doing ok” I replied looking down I saw in Sugars eyes that she didn’t believe me when I said their ok but she didn’t say anything. “how about you I understand being a ghost and not being able to let them know your there cant be easy” she said her caring voice returning “It is but at least I get to still see them I quite often wonder what my afterlife would be like if I was stuck in heaven or possibly even hell” I replied then I added “do you know what happened to the others” sugar looked down I could see a small tear in her eyes “the dracs took Transmission who was staying with Marshy and Agent Narc and unfortunitly they were killed trying to stop them” she replied “the others I don’t know.” I looked down for a moment “I’ll find them” I replied getting up “would you like to come back to Danger and Missiles house with me” I asked “I would love to however I’m afraid I cant walked very far and I cant drive anymore” she replied “oh” was all I could say she smiled softly “I’m sure you’ll find a way to bring us all together again I trust you” she said “I will do my best” I replied giving her a slight hug “I’ll be back.” “I know you will” she replied and with that I left heading back toards Danger knight and Missle kids house

Chapter three

The whispers of a ghost long gone

It took me a few short hours to make my way back to Danger and Missile they were both out the back doing some target practice, I used to watch them all the time wishing I could get a gun and join the silently I floated up to the roof watching them I was watching them so intently I didn’t notice a Drac sneaking over a hill until I heard the ray gun firing and saw Danger push missile out of the way in my lightened form I floated up and moved as fast as possible and attempted to push danger out of the firing range, somehow I was success full and the Drac ran away.

“Danger are you ok” said missile standing up “yeah that was strange it was like something pushed me out of the road” he replied looking around I sighed glad they were both ok, they didn’t know I was the one that saved him yet but at least now I know I can touch them so hopefully I will be able to find a way to communicate with them.  Missile thought for a moment she knew it was very possible that I could be a ghost she bit her lip for a moment knowing that even suggesting the idea could hurt Danger so she decided to leave it “maybe you tripped when pushing me out of the way” she said “I guess it is possible anyway let’s get inside before he comes back I think we should move” he replied softly knowing that he didn’t trip but he didn’t know what else it could have been.

I watched them for a moment as they went inside I knew this was my chance to try and get them to find sugar the only issue was I wasn’t sure how. Silently, pheh not like anyone would hear me if I did it loudly, I floated through the door I couldn’t see either Danger nor Missile so I figured they were in their rooms silently I floated into Missiles room she was sitting on her bed holding a photograph and for the first time in three years she was crying, I floated over and sat next to her putting my ghostly arm around her. She looked directly at me “angel is that you” she muttered I really wanted to answer but I knew she wouldn’t hear me so I focused my mind and the picture she had dropped seemed to float up into the air, she caught it quickly a small smile flittering across her lips “I knew it was you who saved Danger before, thankyou ever since Dr DD vanished he’s been like a father to me” she said holding the photo I smiled to myself I was happy that I worked out how to communicate with Missile she looked directly at me again “you should go to Danger let him know you’re here like you did with me” she said “and if you can take this with you” she added holding out the photo I tried to take it but my hand went straight through it sighing I left the room.

A moment later I floated though into Danger Knights room except it was different from the night from before all my pictures, my mask and my ray gun were gone I was almost scared as to what this could have meant. I floated over to him I just wanted to touch him, let him see that I was there but I was scared of what would happen when I did. I knew I had to let him know I was there so as I got closer I gently put my ghostly hand against his face, he shivered slightly at my touch but he didn’t in anyway show that he knew something was happening, maybe my touch wasn’t strong enough to make him notice me like it did with Missile. I kept my hand held against his face hoping that this wouldn’t hurt him, I moved a bit closer placing my cold ghostly lips against his, he shivered yet again before stepping backwards a bit, well that was a bit better of a reaction I thought but then I looked at his face he seemed to be crying, ‘oh no’ I thought. “A...angel was that you” he mumbled I said “yes” even though I knew he couldn’t hear me I looked down before floating towards a box that was sitting on his bed  I held my hand in front of me, how am I meant to open it when I can’t actually touch it.

I closed my eyes momentarily and wind started blowing through the room Danger felt it he looked over towards the box as it opened I smiled to myself softly as I saw it was my ray gun and mask “it is you angel” he gasped a small smile flickering across his face. I smiled, now if I could only work out how to lead him to Sugar.

Chapter four

Lead me down the rabbit hole

Danger walked over to the box and picked my mask up he looked at it a moment “can you show me where you are” he said I nodded although I knew he couldn’t see me I walked over and silently put my hand on his shoulder, feeling my hand he put his on it “I’ve really missed you and I know there is something you’re trying to tell me I just wish I knew.” “I really wish I could tell you too” I said knowing he wouldn’t hear me however something strange happened  I suddenly became visible, I looked down at my body then up at Danger, he looked straight into my eyes no sound left his lips I looked down not knowing what to say I didn’t know how long this would last. Silently he grabbed my hand and pulled me into his warm embrace “I never want to let you go but I know I will have to again before long” he said softly before I felt his warm lips pressed against mine.

“I wish I knew how long this will last you don’t know how much I’ve missed you” I went to say as soon as he let go but no sound came out ‘oh no’ I thought I had become visible to everyone but they still couldn’t hear me, my hand went straight to my throat, how was I going to tell him about sugar. “angel are you ok” danger asked I just shook my head I simply pointed to my lips “oh my your voice” he gasped I nodded sadly but I was happy to at least be able to touch him and then it hit me, if I could touch things I could write, I held my hands out mimicking writing, he nodded “Missile should have some paper” I smiled and followed him out towards Missiles room. He knocked on the door and as she came out Missile gasped seeing me “Angel” she gasped running up and hugging me I smiled and hugged back.

“Missile do you have a pen and paper” asked Danger Missile nodded and went into her room to get it and she handed it to me I went to say thank you but no words came out ‘oh I forgot’ I thought before writing it down, “you're welcome” she replied smiling brightly. I guessed she was happy to see me in the flesh I was just sad that I couldn’t speak but I guess wanting to speak as well as breath again would have been asking a bit much, I sat down and wrote “their back, sugar cyanide needs us” I wrote Danger looked at me and said “where can we find her” I had to think for a few moments but I couldn’t clearly say show instead I wrote “I can show you” “ok well you’ll be needing these” Danger said handing me my old mask and ray gun I smiled as I took them.

A few moments later we were all in Dangers car and heading towards where I saw Sugar before if felt strange to be driving a car after spending so many years floating around although at the moment everything about being alive again felt strange as it didn’t make sense. I put my foot flat to the floor I was scared that I might suddenly vanish and not be able to lead them to her. Within a few ours we reached where I saw sugar there she was as if waiting for us, I stopped the car and we got out, “I knew you’d be here soon” she said smiling walking towards us “see Angel I told you, you’d be able to get them to me” I smiled running over and hugging her “good to see your back but don’t get used to it” she whispered to me I shuddered at her words.

Chapter five

Angel Falls

A short while later we were all in the car but we weren’t going back to danger and Missiles place in case the Dracs were back again. It felt good to be behind the wheel of the car again I drove through the desert  I didn’t tell the others where I was heading to as I wasn’t even sure myself but it was ok with them cos they trusted me. We drove in silence as it had been years since there were any transmissions although we still had the radio on in hope that one of the other killjoys from the fateful day would try to contact us but we didn’t hold much hope.

After a few hours of driving I stopped something was wrong I had a bad feeling and then I saw it, the ghostly image of Party Poison floating near a sign but it was still a few kilometres away so I couldn’t make the sign out properly. “Angel are you ok” Danger asked looking at me I just gave him the thumbs up as I still couldn’t talk I pushed the pedal down speeding up the road “Angel slow down please” cried out Missile but I couldn’t hear her my mind was only focused on one thing however I still didn’t get any closer to my goal.

Finally after about ten minutes I finally reached the sign but I could no longer see Party Poison I stopped the car and stared at the sign which read Angel Falls “Angel what’s going on” said Danger looking at me I grabbed my note pad out of the centre console and wrote ‘ we should stop here for a bit’  Danger nodded and turned to missile and Sugar “we’re going to stop here for a bit” they both nodded, I got out of the car and walked towards the sign “poison I know you’re here” I said even though I didn’t have a voice and it was at that point he appeared in front of me “I knew you would find me” he said a soft smile flickering across his ghostly lips. I smiled thinking ‘so he could hear me when the others couldn’t’.

“Their coming over here aren’t they” I said not even turning around, “yes they are, they can’t hear you can they” poison replied “no they can’t and I doubt they can see you” I answered looking down. “you know you will probably become a ghost again I don’t know how you did it but this change won’t last” he said placing his hand under my chin “I know” I replied as I jumped as Danger put his hand on my shoulder “come with us and I’ll talk to you more when their asleep” I said to poison who nodded in agreement before I turned around to face danger “are you ok” he asked I just nodded a small smile on my face.

I looked around I saw what seemed like a small shack I pointed to it Danger nodded “I’ll get the car and meet you all over there” he said I nodded along with Missile and Sugar and we headed over to the shack a few moments later we reached the shack I pulled the boards off the door and we went inside it seemed a bit bigger inside then it looked on the outside there were two bed rooms each with bunk beds, there was a small kitchen and living room along with a bathroom. “looks like this place will do for now” said Danger after he parked the car out of view and looked around outside silently I grabbed my note pad and wrote ‘I’m going to go look around be back soon’ and handed it to Danger I could see he was worried about me but he reluctantly agreed to let me go, I gave him a hug and wrote ‘don’t worry I’ll be ok’ he nodded.

I walked outside and started to walk through the trees I hadn’t been here before but I knew there was a waterfall nearby, “just down the hill” came Party Poisons voice from beside me I looked at him “how did you know what I was looking for” I asked “you want to know the truth, why you’re not a ghost anymore, why the Dracs are back, who I really am well was, where the others are, Gee I could go on forever” he replied a soft smile on his face. I stared at him for a few moments “and finding this waterfall will help my find the answers” I asked “in a way” he replied smiling I missed his smile ‘no’ I thought to myself ‘I cannot be falling for poison again I love Danger.’ “I have to disappear for a bit I’ll meet you at the falls” Party Poison said softly “o...ok” I replied as he vanished from my view.

I continued walking getting closer and closer to the falls I could now hear them however I could also hear talking, ‘no way there all here’ I thought almost running now I could sense they were all there, Party Poison, Fun Ghoul, Kobra Kidd, Jet star and Peroxide Princess, I ran as fast as I could and then I saw it a big waterfall and floating around the base were their ghosts I ran down the hill as fast as I could and within moments I reached the base of the hill and the waterfall. “Good to see you Angel” came Peroxides voice as she floated over to me, I blinked “what’s going on” I asked Peroxide smiled “Poison will explain in a moment but for now welcome to Angel Falls the home of the lost and alone” she replied

Chapter 6

The secret

I looked at Poison who smiled and gestured for me to sit down on a rock by the water’s edge I sat down anxiously waiting to hear what was going on Party Poison floated over to me and sat floating beside me the other four sat floating behind me.  I stared at poison for a moment he was staring silently out into the water no one was making a sound at all I could feel that something was happening.

Poison looked at me “Angel” he started with a soft sigh “remember what we all said five years ago when you found us out in the desert?”  I blinked trying to remember it “that I was going to be the one to end the war, yeah well I failed there I got killed remember” I replied narrowing my eyes Poison let out a soft ha “yet here you are right now in the flesh” he replied “look I don’t know how that happened but I died a few says after you ok so I was not the one to end the war” I replied he sighed “you don’t get it do you, you may have died but you helped to arrange the final assault on Better living industries if it wasn’t for you Korse would never had been defeated, our bodies would still be at BLI headquarters and everyone will still be running away and dyeing” he said the harshness returning to his voice “but now the Dracs are back” this was a lot to take in at once I didn’t know what to say then I found it “so what are you saying that somehow I went from being a ghost to back to being alive to help take the remaining Dracs down” Poison nodded “yes that is exactly what I’m saying I don’t know what did it but I know that’s why.”

“now continuing on I think it is also vital that I tell you this as well, the names you know us by their not our real names they were names created to keep our true identities from being discovered but I think it is important you know, and it is important you know that we were originally from the past” Poison said “wait a minute this is too much” I said as I started to get a headache from it all “I can give you a few moments to process it all” replied Poison I stood up and walked away from them I walked over to a set of swings in the old park and sat on it I could hear them talking but I couldn’t process it, out of the corner of my eye I saw someone running through the trees “angel where are you” came Missile’s voice I looked up seeing her   getting closer I opened my mouth to call out to her but I forgot apparently only ghosts could hear me and I had no other way of getting her attention.

Party Poison and the others had stopped talking and I knew I should go back but I didn’t want to, I didn’t want to hear the truth not now. I looked up expecting to see Missile in front of me but she was gone I turned around to see her standing over by the falls with Poison and the others I let out a soft gasp and literally ran over to her. “how long have you been here” she said although it was more like she was talking to Poison then me “about a year” answered poison then he added “we’ve been waiting for both of you” I blinked “wait a moment does that mean” I stumbled looking at Missile “that even before you became alive again I could see and hear you yes and right now I can see Poison and the others” missile replied smiling I gasped before hugging her I didn’t know how it was possible but It was the best feeling ever.

“now back to business now you two are the chosen ones the ones who will end this that’s why Angel was brought back I know it doesn’t make much sense originally Kobra, Fun, jet and myself were the chosen ones but we failed our mission, we were brought here from the year 2010 and we were formerly known as the band My Chemical Romance, I was formerly known as Gerard Way, Kobra was formerly known as my brother Michael, Fun was formerly Frank Iero  and Jet was formerly known as Ray Toro” Poison stated looking at the two of us “Missile of course already knew this as she was the one who brought us here but you needed to know this too Angel so you could understand why this is all happening.”

I looked at Poison unsure of what to say or what to do I didn’t even notice that I had tears falling from my eyes I had heard of My Chemical Romance and when I was younger  before their CD’s were banned but I never believed I would meet them let alone that they would in fact be my hero’s . “I know it’s a lot to take in right now just go back to Danger and I will explain more tomorrow” poison said giving Missile and myself a quick hug and then he was gone, I turned to missile “you could hear me the whole time” I said in disbelief “yes but I was sworn to secrecy don’t tell Danger but I’ve been sneaking out almost every night for the past five years to speak with poison and the others “ she replied smiling “anyway we better get back Dangers worried about you also when talking to me use the notepad they can’t know I can hear you just yet” she added, I nodded and we headed back.

Chapter 7

Keeping the secret, secret

Silently I walked back up to the shack with missile, well at least I shouldn’t have too much of an issue keeping the secret a secret as I can’t talk all I have to do is remember to use the note pad when talking to missile it shouldn’t be too hard. “Finally I was so worried” came Dangers voice as we walked inside, I grabbed the note pad and wrote ‘you shouldn’t worry so much I just wanted to go see the waterfall.’ Danger smiled softly and pulled me into a hug smiling to myself I lent my head against his neck. it was strange I could literally feel myself starting to fall asleep, apparently Danger noticed it as well as he wrapped his arm around my waist “I think it might be best for you to get some rest” he said softly and lead me to one of the rooms and laid me down on the bottom bunk and the last thing I remembered before falling asleep was him kissing me.

I felt like I had been asleep for days although it had only been a night I felt Danger leave the bed I figured he must have been laying beside me all night, I remained half asleep for a few more minutes but woke with a start when I felt a cold breeze blow through the room, I sat up seeing Party Poison on the edge of the bed watching me.  “how long have you been there” I asked sitting up “I’ve been here all night I just had to wait for Danger Knight to leave before I could let you know I was here” he replied smiling his soft smile I felt my mind start to melt damn I was crushing on him again it might have been logical if I was still stuck as a ghost but I was alive again and I loved Danger not Poison.

“I’m making you feel confused aren’t I” said Poison smiling as he floated closer to me and before I knew it his ghostly lips met mine I gasped feeling the coolness of his lips I pulled back “what the fuck do you think you’re doing” I gasped “oh come on don’t pretend you didn’t want that Angel I know all about you and your feelings about me” he replied. “I… I feel for you but I love Danger you should know that” I replied standing up Poison sighed “fine I’ll go then” and with that he disappeared I sat down again, I could feel tears filling my eyes I couldn’t let Danger see me like this silently I closed the door to the room and walked over to the window. Silently I wrote a note ‘I need to think about a few things I’ll be back soon’ I sat it on the pillow then climbed out the window.     

I walked up towards the road not realising the fact I had forgotten both my mask and ray gun I just had to get away. ‘How could he do that’ I thought as I reached the road and started running. After about ten minutes I found myself getting tired ‘gosh I don’t remember running taking this much out of me’ I thought as I walked over to a tree and sat in front of it. I closed my eyes for a few moments as I thought of Danger Knight and how much I loved him and how sad he was in the years that I was gone and no matter how I would find myself feeling about Party Poison I would not let myself forget my feelings for Danger Knight. I stood up preparing to head back when suddenly I started feeling really light headed I fell to the ground everything suddenly going blank.

I felt my body being lifted off the ground and put in a car I didn’t know what was going on I wanted to open my eyes but I couldn’t, a short while after I felt someone lift me up yet again I could hear voices but couldn’t make out whose they were, “is she going to be ok” I heard one of the voices say “I don’t know” replied another. What was going on, why I can’t move I thought wishing I could just open my eyes. The voices faded out as I felt my mind plunge into darkness again. I finally managed to open my eyes but it was weird I wasn’t back at the shack in fact I was still in front of the tree, what happened I thought getting up I still felt rather drained but something was definitely wrong, shakily I headed back towards the shack. It took me about twenty minutes but I finally reached it ‘thank god their still here I thought seeing the car, shakily I walked to the door Danger turned to look at me “Angel” he gasped running towards me catching me as I collapsed.

I managed to open my eyes and saw Missile sitting on the floor beside the bed “m…missile” I mumbled she looked up at me “Angel thank god your ok” she said standing up and sitting on the edge of the bed “w…what happened” I asked trying to sit up “careful” came Poisons voice from the corner I moved backwards against the pillow “w…what are you doing here” I literally yelled at him “Angel calm down” said Missile softly “he was worried about you” Poison smiled softly “it's ok she’s just confused” he replied floating over towards us “you know what bro you really shouldn’t annoy her like that” came Kobra Kidd’s voice as he appeared behind Poison “dude what have I told you about sneaking up on me like that” said Poison angrily but his brother just laughed.

“Poison Kobra why don’t you two leave us alone for a bit” said Missile looking at the boys “fine” replied Poison disappearing “bye girls be back to check on you later Angel” said Kobra before also disappearing. “ok angel spill why are you so pissed with Poison did he say something” asked Missile looking at me “it’s nothing” I replied laying back down I didn’t want missile to know what he did. A knock came from outside the room and Missile opened the door “how is she” came Dangers voice “she’s awake but still a bit out of it I think it might be best if you stay in the other room tonight” replied Missile “ok” said Danger softly before Missile closed the door again.

Chapter eight

The beginning of the end

I sat silently on the bed I saw Missile curled up asleep on a chair in the corner I smiled softly as I watched her then I saw him out of the corner of my eye “h..hey Kobra” I said softly turning my head to face him “are you ok” he asked softly, “do you want an honest answer” I asked “I take that as a no” he replied sitting his hand on mine, “did he tell you what he did yesterday?” I asked shifting my hand away from Kobra’s “no he didn’t I asked him why you were so upset but he wouldn’t answer me” Kobra replied I let out a soft sigh good it was still a secret, Kobra looked at me as if expecting me to tell him luckily it was at that point Missile woke up “hey Kobra” she said sleepily before turning to me “how are you feeling?” she asked “I’m ok” I replied smiling. “Well I’m going to go I’ll see you girls later” said Kobra smiling before disappearing

Missile looked at me “are you sure your ok” she asked “yes just still a bit tired” I replied then I added “would you be able to get Danger for me.” “of course” replied Missile before going out into the living room and a few moments later Danger came in and sat down beside me I smiled softly and lent my head on his shoulder. He handed me the note pad and pen  “are you ok” he asked wrapping his arm around me I wrote ‘I’m fine’ although it was really a lie I was still in shock from the kiss and confused about my feelings. Danger smiled softly as he kissed my forehead I could feel a few tears fall from my eyes Danger noticed the tears “what’s wrong” he said looking me in the eyes  I looked down how the hell was I meant to tell him Party Poisons ghost kissed me, he wouldn’t understand, I just silently wrote “I’m just happy to be with you again”  Danger smiled “I’m happy to have you back too” I smiled back glad in a way that he couldn’t hear me cos I knew if I tried to say that he would see straight through my lie.

“are you hungry” asked Danger looking at me I shook my head but wrote “I am thirsty though” he smiled helping me up and to the living room I sat on the old couch next to Sugar she turned to face me a soft smile on her face as she whispered “I’ve got something to tell you later” I blinked wondering if like Missile she could still hear my “ok” I said unsure whether or not she could hear. Danger came back over from the kitchen with a glass of water I flipped through the pages of my notebook to a page where I had previously written thankyou and held it up before drinking the water it felt good to feel the water running down my throat after so long of not being able to drink. “I have to go into the outskirts of the city to where there are some shops so I can get some supplies” said Danger I blinked I didn’t want him to go but I had to be able to be alone for a bit with sugar so I opened my note pad and wrote “ok just be careful” Danger smiled “I’m always careful” and with that he kissed me then left.

I sat silently for a few moments I was getting a real bad feeling but I couldn’t explain it “don’t worry about him sweetie he’ll be alright” Sugar said looking at me “how did you know I was worrying” I said quickly “well for one I can sense these things now and I can still hear you so I can hear it in your voice” she replied. I blinked looking down a moment then I just hugged her, silently she petted my back “I’ve missed you” I said softly “I’ve missed you too” she replied then she added “don’t tell anyone I can hear you ok”, “ok” I replied letting go.  Missile walked in from the other room I looked up at her “you know Sugar I just heard everything you said you’re lucky Danger wasn’t here otherwise Poison might have gotten very upset with you” she said before giggling, I blinked looking between sugar and Missile “well I knew he was going so I’d be able to talk to her and such” replied Sugar smiling.

We sat and talked for a bit I looked at the old clock on the wall, it was getting late and Danger still wasn’t back I was starting to get worried.  My worry got worse when Fun Ghoul appeared in front of us “hey I hate to be the one to tell you guys this but Poison and Kobra has disappeared and I just found Danger Knights car abandoned up the road” I almost screamed this was bad, Missile noticed the look on my face “don’t worry Angel we’ll find them” she said putting her hand on my shoulder.

Chapter nine
Preparations against the odds

I sat silently my mind blank I felt as if I were going to faint, “what are we going to do” Missile asked Fun Ghoul “well we need to rally up some more killjoys luckily Jet and I have managed to locate about twenty we just need you guys to gather them as most properly can see ghosts” Missile nodded “can you lead us to where Danger’s car is” Fun Ghoul nodded and Sugar and I got up although I fell back onto the couch “I’ll go get the car sugar can you wait with Angel” said Missile looking at me. “Certainly” replied Sugar and Missile and Fun Ghoul left.

I sat silently my eyes closed as I waited, I heard Sugar get up and walk away I figured she went into the room as I heard a door closed it was a few moments later I felt someone sit beside me I opened my eyes and saw Jett Star sitting next to me he put his ghostly hand on mine “They’ll be ok I promise” he said softly “I hope your right” I replied looking down I was feeling really dizzy and I began to feel really light headed, my eyes flicked closed as I fell sideways onto the couch right where Jett star was sitting. “Angel Angel wake up” came Missiles voice but I couldn’t get my eyes to open they were just so heavy.

“how long has she been out” I heard Fun Ghoul ask “only about five minutes” replied Jett Star I could feel his cold hand against my forehead “you don’t think she could have over exerted herself and the temporary body can’t take it” I hear Missile say. ‘what does she mean temporary body what’s going on’ I thought trying to get my eyes to open but nothing happened “it is possible I think she just needs to rest so her body can reenergise itself” replied Fun Ghoul then he added “we’ll head out in the morning” “ok” replied Missile before laying what seemed like a blanket on me then my mind went blank again.

I opened my eyes the room seemed dark except for where Fun Ghoul and Jett Star were floating. I just remained laying on the couch my head was throbbing and I could hardly remember anything from yesterday except the fact both Danger Poison and Kobra were missing. I could feel my eyes getting heavy again I closed them again. I opened them again to find Fun Ghoul floating above me “what the fuck” I screamed quickly sitting up “Angel calm down” he said floating down to be standing well floating next to me “I’m sorry for startling you it’s just your so cute when you’re asleep” I blinked looking at him thinking ‘did he really just call me cute.’

Sugar and Missile walked into the room “good to see your awake you gave us quite a scare” said Missile smiling before adding “You know Fun Ghoul you shouldn’t really scare her like that” He giggled “I didn’t mean to anyway now she’s awake we can head off to find the killjoys” Missile nodded going to grab the car keys but I beat her to it “I’m driving” I said with a smile “ok” she replied. Once we grabbed what we needed we all got in the car and Fun Ghoul directed us to the first Killjoys location

Chapter ten

Sun and sand storms

After driving for what felt like hours Fun Ghoul told me to stop. We had reached what looked like the remains of a town that had been washed away by a wall of water I got out of the car and looked around and suddenly the memories started coming back “Fun Ghoul do you realize where we are” I asked tears starting to form in my eyes “the place where you lost your family, I remember you telling me just after we became ghosts” he replied then added “but you know we’re your family now even though five of us are ghosts and I will do everything in my power to get them back” I smiled softly. “So how many are here” I asked looking around “I think there was a group of ten” he replied.

Sugar Missile and Jett got out of the car and came over to where me and Fun Ghoul were “I think it might be best if we split up” I suggested “you sure you’ll be ok though” Missile replied looking at me, I sighed “I got enough rest yesterday I just have to try and not over exert myself” I replied then added “plus I’ll have Fun Ghoul with me” Fun Ghoul smiled as I said that. Missile sighed “ok well me and Sugar will go look over there with Jett we’ll meet back at the car in an hour.” With that we all went our separate ways preparing to find the other killjoys.

I walked with Fun Ghoul for about five minutes when I spotted the first one she was a young girl probably about fourteen she had a golden mask on and was carrying a matching ray gun, I was about to go over to her but Fun ghoul told me to stop “wait I think we should approach her carefully in case she thinks we’re enemies” I nodded and we moved a bit closer. The girl turned to face us her hand going for her gun I figured she wouldn’t be able to see Fun Ghoul “its ok I won’t hurt you I just need your help” I said. she looked at me and shook her head her gun still pointed at me “remember Angel no one can hear you” said Fun Ghoul “oh” I replied taking my note pad out and writing what I had just said then I wrote ‘I’m Angel Darkstorm’, “oh nice to meet you then” she said walking over to me “I’m Kerosene Cookie” I smiled and wrote ‘two of my friends have been captured by Dracs and I need help saving them I have two other killjoys with me their over the other side of the twon looking for others can yu help us.’ “Sure my families somewhere in town I’ll take you to them” she replied smiling.

Fun Ghoul and I walked with Kerosene Cookie around the town after a few moments I found myself crying from the memories being back here brought Kerosene didn’t notice as she was walking in front of us. I felt Fun Ghouls cold hand on my back “you ok” he asked “yeah it’s just being back here brings back so many memories” I replied “I understand” he replied giving me a quick hug then I wiped my eyes and we continued following Kerosene “there’s a small shack up ahead where we were all staying” said Kerosene turning to face me I nodded and we continued to walk.

After a few moments of walking we came to a shack where nine more killjoys plus sugar and missile where waiting for us. “hi you must be the famous Angel Darkstorm I heard so much about” said one of the killjoys looking at me I wrote on my note pad “I am but I can’t talk” she smiled at me “we can fix that but we’re going to have to get inside I saw a sand storm heading towards us” we all nodded and headed into the shack and made sure all the doors and windows were closed tight. I looked at fun ghoul “I have to make sure Dangers car is not going to get destroyed by the storm can you come with me?” “No Angel you can’t go out there we can’t afford to have you over exert yourself I’ll keep the car safe” he replied before disappearing I went and sat down.

Missile decided to start the introductions while we waited for the sand storm to pass “I’m Missile Kid although I’m not much of a kid anymore, this is Sugar Cyanide and as you all know this is Angel Darkstorm.” She said as she introduced us Kerosene Cookie smiled and started introducing her family “I’m Kerosene Cookie and this is Ritalin Revenge, Venom Cyanide, Party Joker, Toxic Boom, Modern Misfit, Purified Violence, Intense Hydrogen, Poison Heart! and Acidic Bulletshell.” I looked at missile “I think you should tell them about poison and the others” I said Missile nodded. “I presume you guys all know of the four original killjoys Party Poison, Kobra Kidd, Fun Ghoul and Jett Star” she said and everyone nodded Kerosene looked at missile “didn’t the die five years ago” Missile nodded “yes they did and Angel actually died then as well” this made everyone gasp and missile started to explain.

Once missile finished the room exploded in questions and she answered all of them as best as she could it was at that point Fun Ghoul reappeared in front of me. “the storms over and the cars safe so we can move out when ever we’re ready” I nodded and wrote exactly what he said on a piece of paper and showed it to the others.  “we’ll get our things I’ve got a couple of cars so we can head out now if you want” said Purified Violence “ok we’ll go get our car and meet you back here in five minutes then” replied Missile the others nodded and we went our separate ways to get the cars. Five minutes later we all meet back at the shack and then we were out to find the rest of the team.

Chapter Eleven

The end is near

We all drove for a few more hours before coming to a long stretch of empty desert as we stopped I turned to Fun Ghoul “are you sure they’re here” I asked, “yes I’m sure there should be a cave just over there where they were hiding out” he replied pointing to the east “ok” I replied and missile called through to the others to let them know then we drove towards where Fun Ghoul pointed. After a few minutes of driving we finally saw the cave but I couldn’t see anyone in it. “I’ll go check it out wait here” Fun Ghoul said I nodded and again missile called it through to the others as Fun Ghoul vanished.

A few moments later Fun Ghoul reappeared beside me “there is a group of five in there they all have their ray guns out so I think they heard us pull up so be careful I think it might be best to let Missile and a couple of the others go in” he said I sighed nodding.  Missile got out of the car and went over to Kerosene’s car “there’s about five inside the cave so I’m going in who wants to come” four of the group put their hands up “we’ll come” they said before getting out. “Ok” said Missile and they headed into the cave.

I sat silently my fists clenched around the steering wheel as I waited for my fellow killjoys to emerge from the cave but I kind of figured they would probably be talking so the other killjoys will be able to tell if Missile and the others can be trusted so I figured we’d just have to wait. After about five minutes Missile and the other four came out of the cave followed by five other killjoys, we all got out of the cars ready to become acquainted when suddenly we hear gun fire coming from a nearby area. 

“Guys lets split up” missile said before turning to me and Sugar “you two wait here we’ll be back in a moment” and with that her and the other fifteen killjoys ran off towards where the sounds were coming from. I sighed I wanted to help I was scared the Missile and my new found killjoy friends were going to get hurt, “Angel please don’t get yourself killed again” Said Sugar turning to face me “I’ll try not to I just can’t stand by and let them fight on their own” I replied before running off towards where the others went.

I reached the spot and I saw it all sixteen killjoys fighting Dracs luckily they outnumbered the Dracs. Missile turned as she heard me coming “Angel you shouldn’t be here” she said not seeing the Drac coming up behind her quickly I grabbed my gun and shot it “I’m fine” I lied as I started to feel a little light headed from the running but I wasn’t going to let myself pass out and leave the fighting to everyone else it was then that I noticed two killjoys I knew. The others quickly finished of the Dracs and ran over to us “we should get out of here” said Kerosene quickly. “Ok” replied Missile as the two other Killjoys came over and pulled me into a hug “Angel oh we’ve missed you so much” one of them who I remembered was called Chemical Batman said and the other one who I remembered as Napalm Erotica looked at me “I thought you were dead” she said Missile smiled “it’s a long story best for safer grounds “ok” Napalm Erotica replied before we all headed back towards the cars.

Once we were back at the cars Missile explained everything and we introduced each other and started to work out who goes in which car. “ok we have three cars and theirs twenty of us we’re going to need another car” she sighed looking around “we have one it’s about five k’s past the cave” replied Spectrum Dynamite one of the killjoys from the cave “ok get it and meet us back here” replied missile “ok” she replied and her group left to get the car meanwhile the others and me got back into our cars to get ready.

About ten minutes later Spectrum Dynamite and her group were back and we were heading off towards Battery City, I didn’t realise we were being followed until I hear Spectrum Dynamite calling across the radio “just keep driving I’ll get Fun Ghoul and Jet Star to check it out” Missile responded and as she did Fun Ghoul and Jet Star both vanished from the car, we continued driving constantly checking our mirrors for the car following us, a few moment later Fun Ghoul reappeared “it’s ok they seem to be killjoys as well however I suggest we stop about one k up the road as we’re going to need to form a plan and get a nights rest” “ok” I replied and Missile repeated what Ghoul had said into the radio for the others. A few moments later we all pulled onto a side road and I saw a cave hidden behind the trees I stopped my car and the others stopped theirs before getting out, the car that was following us pulling up behind us.

“Who are you” said the driver of the car “we’re simply twenty killjoys heading into battery city to stop the Dracs and save four of our friends” replied missile “and you are”, “four killjoys trying to hide out from the Dracs” replied the driver before giving a more formal introduction and missile did the same. “we’re going to spend the night here to plan a bit and get some rest and training then tomorrow night we’re going in” Missile said indicating to the cave behind us “good call we’re in” replied Hyper-Diamond the driver of the car.
